I really enjoyed this, although I had to reload twice due to 1st not noticing how to open the inventory and 2nd due to a glitch where 3 customers came in at once and the text was garbled.  In my third play through the ending seemed to come out of nowhere, so I wonder if I was experiencing another glitch.  From time to time I had to click away from the game (got messages in another browser window) and I wonder if the game is set to progress based on time rather than interaction and maybe I ran down my clock while out of the game window?  Not sure, but I'm very interested to find out what's going on in this story, and I love the player interactions.  I would also like to be able to use my inventory for trades, but maybe I just missed out on finding out what the items I bartered for are used for.  Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Hey Unreality3D!

Thanks so much for taking the time to play our game!

I’ll make sure to pass your feedback about the bugs along to our team. We’ve encountered some of these issues before and are actively working to resolve them before our Steam release later this month.

As for the time progression, we have a hidden timer for each customer interaction to simulate a realistic customer service experience. We aim for quick service at Swifty Swine, so if the timer runs out, customers will leave feeling dissatisfied.

You’re also right about the inventory—items you receive from customers cannot be bartered. Those items are yours to keep and will influence the ending based on the resources you gather!

If you would like to play our next iteration towards the end of this month, you can check it out here:  https://store.steampowered.com/app/3250160/When_It_Falls/

Thank you again!

Abby

Thank you for the reply!  Wishlisted the game on Steam.  The link https://bisaiah.itch.io/when-it-falls takes me to a password protected page, just so you know.  Looking forward to updates :D

I think this is a really interesting concept for a game. I am however a little confused considering I had a bunch of survival gear, food & clothes.

Maybe add in what choices led you to the ending you got. At the moment it seems kinda vague and I'm confused as to what I did wrong.I always picked the logical items for surviving.

Overall a really cool idea & I think a full fledge game done in a stylish art style could attract people & keep their attention. Looking forward to future updates!

Hey A.J.!

I'm the game designer and wanted to thank you so much for playing our game demo. Our team appreciates your kind words regarding our current build.

And you bring up a great point about confusing in-game choices. We're actively working on clearly distinguishing between the store inventory and the player's stash. Our goal is to ensure that players don’t feel confused or think they made the wrong choices in reaching their desired ending.

We are working to get a new update out by October 10th! Team Stargazers hopes you will enjoy our next build.⭐

Best,

Abby
